A Novel for children:
Idichakka Plammoottile Rajakumari Thanthram Padichathengane ?" Published by State Institute of Children's Literature. This is a humorous novel which retells the 500-year old fairy tale from Germany, titled Rumpelstiltskin. I have tried to weave into it Trivandrum dialect of Malayalam, some characters from my home town, around the Vanchiyoor Govt UPS where I began my formal education, and some excitement about Claude Shannon's information theory in its crudest form. Read a limited preview of it here. My homage to Gopala Pilla Sir of vanchiyoor school who appears in this novel, who passed away at the age of 100, a few days before this book was published in April 2008.
